CC&F conceived one of the largest transit-oriented projects in the Greater Boston Area, at the Green Line Riverside Station in Newton, converting the Jordan Marsh Warehouse into a 500,000 SF Class A office building. Acquiring the project required extended negotiations with building owner Federal Realty, a long-term leaseholder of the property, as well as arranging lease termination and relocation agreements for dozens of small warehouse/showroom subtenants. Permitting was equally complex, including a comprehensive re-zoning of the project by the City of Newton, extensive local traffic improvements, and detailed design review with the host neighborhood of Auburndale. Today the property is owned by Alexandria Real Estate Equities and continues to serve as an elite destination.
